Xiaomi has launched Redmi Y1 smartphone in the new ‘Redmi Y’ series in India. It is available in Gold and Dark Gray colours and is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version. The smartphone will be exclusively available via online shopping partner Amazon and Mi.com starting November 8th.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD up to 128GB. It sports 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 16MP front-facing camera with LED flash. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 8 which is upgradable to MIUI 9 and has 3080 mAh battery.
