Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi 3S in India. The company announced an event for August 3rd to launch the smartphone. The event will also be live streamed on the company's website. The smartphone was launched back in June in China in two variants based on memory and inbuilt storage - the 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage model is priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,000), and the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage model is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000).
Xiaomi Redmi 3S features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone comes in two variant with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB internal storage. It is expandable via microSD up to 128GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 4100 mAh battery.
