Xiaomi as expected has launched Redmi 3S smartphone in India. Alongside Redmi 3S, it has also launched Redmi 3S Prime smartphone. It is available in Dark grey, Silver and Gold colors. Xiaomi Redmi 3S has been priced at Rs. 6,999 while Redmi 3S Prime will retail at Rs. 8,999. Both the smartphone will be available via mi.com and online shopping partner Flipkart. Redmi 3S Prime will be available starting August 9th 12 Noon onwards and Redmi 3S will be available starting from August 16th. Redmi 3S Prime comes with fingerprint scanner at the back.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes in two variant with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD up to 128GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 4100 mAh battery.
