TCL has entered the Indian mobile market with its first smartphone TCL 560. It is available in Dark Grey and Metallic Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 7,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available via online shopping partner Amazon.
The main highlight of the smartphone is its Eye Verify technology which the company touts can unlock the smartphone using the front camera of the handset. TCL 560 unlocks only after the eye verification of the user to prevent unauthorised access, touted Nicolas Zibell, Vice President of TCL Corporation at the launch.
TCL 560 features 5.5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS full lamination display powered by 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor with Adreno 304 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 8MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera with LED flash. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 2500 mAh battery.
