ZTE Blade A2 With Fingerprint Scanner, VoLTE Support Launched

ZTE has launched Blade A2, budget smartphone in China. It is available in Silver, Gray and Gold colors and is priced at just 699 Yuan ( US$ 106 / Rs. 7,110 approx.). The smartphone is now available for order through jd.com in China and will go on sale starting June 15.

ZTE Blade A2 is successor to ZTE Blade A1 which comes with a lot of improvements such as an all-metal body and 4G VoLTE support. The Blade A2 sports a 360-degree fingerprint scanner that the company claims can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. The smartphone packs a hybrid SIM slot which means that it can support either dual-SIM cards or one SIM and another slot for microSD card. The Blade A2 comes with 4G LTE and supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility. The Chinese company touts that the smartphone can support download speeds of up to 300Mbps on 4G networks.

ZTE Blade A2 features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved display powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor with Mali T860 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 128GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera with LED flash. it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has 2500 mAh battery.
