Lenovo owned Motorola has launched two new flagships at the Tech World 2016 conference in San Francisco - the new Moto Z and Moto Z Force with Moto Mods magnetic snap-on back panels with various partners, including JBL and Incipio. Both smartphones feature support for Moto Maker customisation.
The Motorola Moto Z will be available globally from September, along with the Moto Mods, which are designed to work with future generations of Moto Z smartphones. In the US, they will be available as the Moto Z Droid this summer on carrier partner Verizon Wireless. No word on the pricing yet.
Moto Z features 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass display powered by 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. it has an internal storage of 32GB/64GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 2TB. It sports a 13MP rear cameras with dual tone LED flash, OIS, Laser Autofocus and a 5MP Wide-Angle lens front facing camera. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has 2600 mAh battery to give 8 hours of battery life in 15 minutes.
