Lenovo Phab 2 Pro 'Tango' Smartphone With 4 Cameras, 4GB RAM Launched

Lenovo has launched Phab 2 pro, the world's first project Tango smartphone at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco in partnership with Google. It is available in Champange Gold and Gunmetal Grey colors with full metal body design, is priced at $499 (Rs. 33,310 approx.) and will be available globally starting September. It will be available in the US from retailers like Best Buy and Lowe’s.

Project Tango is centred around machine vision, with a camera and sensor setup that provides motion tracking, depth perception, and area learning. This can enable augmented reality applications like indoor navigation, search, and gaming. With depth sensing, it can be used gesture tracking in virtual reality.

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro features 6.4-inch (2560 × 1440 pixels) Quad HD 2.5D Curved Glass display powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 64GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 128GB. It sports a 16MP camera with PDAF, Depth Sensor for Tango, Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango and a 8MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 4050 mAh battery with fast charging.
