Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi 5 flagship smartphone will be launched in India on Thursday. The Chinese company at the Redmi Note 3 India launch earlier this month had promised that the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone will be "coming to India in a month" - and it certainly appears to have kept its promise. The smartphone is expected to go on sale in the country from early April. We should know the price at the launch event on Thursday.
Xiaomi Mi 5 features 5.15-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD display with curved glass powered by Snapdragon 820 64-bit Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM with 32GB/64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage. It sports a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 4MP front facing camera with 2um pixel size. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top and has 3000 mAh built-in battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
