Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen and Moto G 2nd Gen 4G Android 6.0 Marshmallow Soak Test Begins in India and Brazil

Soon after posting the release note for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Moto G 2nd Gen smartphone, Motorola’s Senior Director of Software Product Management, David Schuster announced that Motorola has started Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) soak test for the 2014 Moto G (2nd Gen) and 2014 Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G in Brazil and India.

In addition to this, Motorola will monitor the soak for next week and with good results, proceed to full launch. The smartphone is currently running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It seems that the company is skipping Android 5.1 Lollipop and moving directly to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Recently, Motorola had rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto G Gen 3 and Moto X Turbo Edition in India. It also recently added Moto E Gen 2 4G in the list and said that it will get the Marshmallow update in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia, excluding China. Here are the list of devices which will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
