Xiaomi launched Redmi Note Prime smartphone in India. It is available in White color and is priced at Rs. 8,499. The smartphone will be available exclusively via Amazon.in and mi.com starting 10am IST Tuesday.
The Chinese company in a press note confirms that the Redmi Note Prime is the second 'Made in India' smartphone after the Redmi 2 Prime. Redmi Note Prime will be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn.
Redmi Note Prime features 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It has an internal storage of 16Gb and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat based MIUI 7 and has 3100 mAh battery.
