Gionee is finally launching Marathon M5 in India on November 24th at an event in Bangalore. The smartphone was launched back in June in Beijing, China. The Gionee Marathon M5's claim to fame is its long battery life. It comes with two 3010mAh batteries, taking the total to 6020mAh. The company says the batteries should last up to 4 days. It also features an extreme mode that can boost standby time at 5 percent battery life to 62 hours. As expected, the smartphone supports reverse charging, which allows users to utilise the Marathon M5 as a power bank to charge other devices. It also features a fast charging system, but no details have yet been provided about how long it will take to completely charge the dual battery setup.
Gionee Marathon M5 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED Plus display powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI 3.1 on top and has 6020 mAh battery.
