Huawei Honor 5X Launched With 2GB/3GB RAM, Fingerprint Scanner

Huawei launched the Honor 5X smartphone in China with 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants. It is available in Silver and Sunset Gold colors and is priced at 1399 Yuan (US$ 220 / Rs. 14,320 approx.) for the 3GB RAM version and 999 Yuan (US$ 157 / Rs. 10,225 approx.)  for the 2GB RAM variant.

The main highlight of this smartphone is it features a fingerprint sensor with the company's latest 'Fingerprint 2.0' tech, which is said to unlock the handset in as little as 0.5 seconds. The sensor is placed on the rear panel below the camera. The 3000mAh battery is said to deliver up to 1.46 days of regular usage time and up to 1.01 days of heavy usage time. It supports Quick Charge 3.0, which can charge up to 50 percent battery in 30 minutes.

Huawei Honor 5X features a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD IPS display powered by 1.5 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB/2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 128GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 on top and has 3000 mAh battery.
