Skype Updated for Android, iPhone and iPad

Skype has launched Skype 6.0 an updated version for its Android and iOS apps. The updated app features a new optimized design for both operating systems among a plethora of new goodies.

Skype for Android brings material design changes which brings changes in the UI. The new update brings a floating action button, which allows users to start a new conversation, whether starting a video call, audio call, chat, or sending a video message. Along with this, it has also upgraded search and now you can find your most important contacts and conversations much faster. Skype for Android has received messaging improvements which will now show how many unread messages have been there.

Skype for iOS brings a major redesign for both iPhone and iPad. The new navigation is simple, familiar and gets you to your conversations fast. With Skype 6.0 you can use swipe gestures to quickly make calls and easily manage your messages. You can easily share photos, web links, emoticons and your location while you’re on a voice or video call. It has also upgraded the search, now you can simply use the new recent tab to search your messages and find contacts and groups. Skype for iPad also helps you stay in touch with your groups – now start a group chat or a group voice call straight from your iPad. Now, through message you can share your location, send large emoticons, see web link previews and easily send and receive photos.
