Microsoft Surface 3 Launched with 10.8-inch HD display, Intel Atom x7 processor

Microsoft launched a low cost version of Surface tablet computer. Microsoft Surface 3 starts at $499 for the 2GB RAM with 64GB storage. 4GB RAM with 128GB storage costs $599. Surface 3 with LTE costs $599 for 2GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, and $699 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version.

Pre-order is available starting Tuesday in the US through Microsoft Stores, microsoftstore.com and select retailers, and it will be on sale beginning May 5, with availability in 26 markets by May 7.

Microsoft Surface 3 features a 10.8-inch (1920 x 1280 pixels) Full HD Plus 10-point multi-touch Display with Pen input powered by 1.6 Quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor (up to 2.4 GHz) and 2GB/4GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 64GB/128GB. It sports a 8MP auto focus rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Windows 8.1 OS and is  upgradeable to Windows 10. It also comes with LTE variant with built-in nano SIM slot and a free one-year subscription to Office 365.
