SUMO can be enhanced with custom models and provides various APIs to remotely control the simulation.

The simulation platform SUMO offers many features:

  • Microscopic simulation - vehicles, pedestrians and public transport are modeled explicitly
  • Online interaction – control the simulation with TraCI
  • Simulation of multimodal traffic, e.g., vehicles, public transport and pedestrians
  • Time schedules of traffic lights can be imported or generated automatically by SUMO
  • No artificial limitations in network size and number of simulated vehicles
  • Supported import formats: OpenStreetMap, VISUM, VISSIM, NavTeq
  • SUMO is implemented in C++ and uses only portable libraries

Installation Steps

Windows 10 First Technical Preview for Phones Now Available for Download

Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Technical preview for phones. If you are planing to try the Windows 10 Technical preview, you need to enroll for Windows insider program first. and download the windows insider app in your phone. You can download the windows insider app from the windows phone store. Once you finish installing the app, you have to sign up.

The Windows 10 technical preview available for Lumia 630, Lumia 635, Lumia 636, Lumia 638, Lumia 730, and Lumia 830 devices.

Let's find out what the preview includes

  • Full-size Background Image for Start: We believe phones should be intensely personal – so we’ve added another option to customize the start screen with a full-size background image.
  • More Quick Actions in Action Center: We’ve increased the number of quick actions available to you. Windows Phone 8.1 has four programmable quick actions – but with Windows 10 you also get an expanded view that can now have up to three rows.
  • Interactive Notifications: Notifications are now interactive, allowing you to take action directly like dismissing an alarm, or seeing images for maps. For example, for text messages, when the toast pops, you can quickly reply inline via text or voice.
  • Significantly enhanced speech-to-text capability: You can talk to virtually any data field you choose. Your words show up as you speak them – and punctuation appears automatically.  This feature is smart enough to understand when to use ‘two’ – the number — instead of ‘too’ as in ‘also’.
  • More powerful Photos app: From your very first launch, Photos will show the aggregated set of all your local photos and all your OneDrive photos

Announcing the news, Microsoft's Engineering General Manager, Gabriel Aul, in a blog post said, "This is the earliest publicly available preview we've ever done for Windows on phones. This preview is still very much under development and you're going to see some rough edges. We're sharing it with you so you can be with us at every step, and provide your feedback to help make this the best release ever-because it's the one made for you."

Now Choose Who Will Manage Your Facebook Account After You Die

Facebook on Thursday added a new feature that allows users to assign a specific person who will be able to access their account after they die.

The new feature is called Legacy Contact. You can view this new feature under security setting menu in Facebook. You will be able to select a specific person whom you think can control you account after you die. Alternatively, users can opt to have their account deleted after they pass away.

Previously, Facebook already had memorialization system where people can let Facebook know a user has passed away. The memorialized accounts will not be seen in friend suggestions, ads or other "public" places on Facebook.

The legacy account will be able to

  • Write a post to display at the top of the memorialized Timeline (for example, to announce a memorial service or share a special message)
  • Respond to new friend requests from family members and friends who were not yet connected on Facebook
  • Update the profile picture and cover photo

Now the Memorialized account will have a "remembering" label before the display name to let users know that the user has passed away.

As of now the legacy contact is available to users in US and it will expand globally.
