Samsung to Launch Budget 'Z1' Tizen Phone in India

Now Samsung plans to launch Tizen phone in India. South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper said on Monday. South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co Ltd plans to launch a new sub-$100 (roughly Rs. 6,200) smartphone running on its own Tizen operating system in India later this month. 

The phone will feature a 4-inch screen 480×800 resolution display powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. The phone will sport a 3.2-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, and a VGA front-facing camera. It will run on Tizen 2.3 operating system along with connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and FM Radio.

As per Reuters, Samsung might hold a press event on December 10 for the launch. As we are very close to that, so we might hear the announcement very soon. Samsung is yet to sent the media invites for the event.
