Google confirms Nexus 5 production has stopped

A Google spokesperson has revealed that the company has discontinued production of the 2013 Nexus 5. According to TechRadar, a Google spokesperson has confirmed that Nexus 5 production has stopped, warning that "once they are gone, they're gone, so we'd suggest people get them while they can". However, the company in an emailed statement told The Verge, "Nexus 5 will continue to be available for sale on Google Play and through select retailers in Q1 2015."

Looking back to the specifications of the Nexus 5, it featured a 4.95-inch full-HD IPS display powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM. It sports a 8.0-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. It packs 2300 mAh battery.

At present only the black version of the Nexus 5 is showing up on the Google Play Store.
