Nikon launched Nikon 1 AW1, V3 and J4 cameras in the Nikon 1 series with interchangeable lenses in India.

Nikon 1 AW1 comes with a 11-27.5mm F/3.5-5.6 lens kit at Rs. 39,950, Nikon 1 V3  comes with 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-ZOOM lenses priced at Rs. 43,950 and Nikon 1 J4 NIKKOR VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-ZOOM lenses priced at Rs. 24,950 respectively. The cameras are also listed on the company's India website.

The Nikon 1 AW1 is Waterproof, shockproof and freeze proof. It is waterproof to a depth of 15m. Gionee W900 smartphone will feature two 4″ 1080p displays says TENAA in China.

Reliance Communications on Thursday launched an unlimited mobile internet plan for Rs 999 a month at high speed on its upgraded CDMA network across select cities.

The CDMA services has been upgraded to Pro 3 network which will offer about peak download speed of 14.7Mbps. The services has been launched in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune and will soon cover other big cities.

Skype finally brings picture-in-picture video chat for Android phones

The latest update to the Skype Android app introduces a picture-in-picture feature allowing users to multitask. This picture-in-picture feature already exists on Android tablets, now the latest update to the phone app brings this feature to phones.

The new update allows multitasking, if you are in the middle of a video call, you can head over to another app and continue with the conversation, video and all. You can also format text in your instant messages, and finally receive photos sent from iPhone Skype users. It also includes the obligatory bug fixes that typically come with a version upgrade.

Motorola today announced a range of music accessories in India. The company launched wireless stereo headphones and Bluetooth speakers.

The wireless stereo headphones comes with 11 hours of battery life and Buds users will experience a rich HD audio experience as well as better microphone noise reduction. It has micro adjustable ear cushions that fits easily and are available in three different sizes. The headphone will work with any device that supports A2DP profile.

Nimbuzz launches TrueCaller rival, Holaa

Instant messaging company Nimbuzz has launched new caller identification app Holaa. Holaa is basically a free caller ID app and is much like the popular Truecaller app. It is available only on Android. Holaa!, like Truecaller, allows users to see details like the caller’s name, photo and location during an incoming call live. It also helps block spam calls from pesky spammers or other unwanted callers.

Vikas Saxena, CEO of Nimbuzz, says "Our experience in emerging markets gives us insights into user behavior and allows us to deliver a more optimized product. To give you an example, Holaa! is 30 percent smaller in app size than Truecaller and 30 percent less RAM intensive. The Xiaomi Redmi Note will be exclusively available on flipkart from December 2. Registration for Xiaomi Redmi Note will start November 25 at 6pm. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to save your smartphone

Corning has come up with new version of Gorilla Glass. Corning claims the new material is about twice as tough as its predecessor, Gorilla Glass 3. It can withstand 80% of drops from 1m (3.3ft) on a rough surface. Gorilla Glass 4 is slightly tougher and has a thickness of 0.7mm than the previous generation. Gorilla Glass 3 is 0.4mm thick.

Micromax launches Yu brand powered by CyanogenMod

Micromax has launched a new smartphone under brand name "Yu". A subsidiary of Micromax, Yu Televentures, has partnered Cyanogen to offer customised user experience to end users. Cyanogen OS, built on Android, is known for rich software advancements that optimise performance, customization on mobile devices.

"This will be a game changer not just in India but globally too. Yu has been envisioned for building an ecosystem of connected devices and offer customised experience to users. We strongly feel that Cyanogen is the right partner to help us deliver a differentiated experience in the mobile ecosystem, we are together committed to challenge the limits of possibility and create a new world." Micromax co founder Rahul Sharma told PTI.

It has been learnt that Micromax's new subsidiary Yu Televentures in collaboration with popular Android mobile software developers, CyanogenMod, will incorporate custom Android ROM in Yu series smartphones. It looks like Micromax will be following the same strategy as followed by Xiaomi, they are going to tie-up with online stores directly that will help lower the cost and most likely these handsets will not be available offline (i.e. in retail stores).

Yahoo to replace Google as default search engine in Firefox

Yahoo and Mozilla have announced a five-year partnership and Yahoo will be the default search engine in United States for Mozilla's Firefox browser on desktop and mobile.

"I'm thrilled to announce that we've entered into a five-year partnership with Mozilla to make Yahoo the default search experience on Firefox across mobile and desktop," Yahoo Chief Executive Marissa Mayer said in a blog post Wednesday. "This is the most significant partnership for Yahoo in five years and we’re so proud that Mozilla has chosen us as their long-term partner in search."

The search will be launched in December first to Firefox’s U.S. users and then to all Yahoo users in early 2015. It will also support Do Not Track functions in Firefox.

Jolla launches Sailfish OS Tablet

Jolla launches Sailfish OS tablet, the first tablet device that runs the Sailfish OS 2.0. The Finnish firm launched its campaign on Indiegogo with a goal of raising $380,000. The first 1,000 contributors will receive the tablet at $189, while the second 1,000 will get it at $199. The delivery of the Jolla Tablet is listed as May 2015 and the expected price of the tablet is $249. The tablet will be available in European Union, Norway, Switzerland, United States, India, China, Hong Kong, and Russia.

“We believe that there is demand for this, and even though there are more than 400 Android tablets in the world there are no open-source Sailfish tablets. So this is something different from everything else,” said Taru Aalto, sales director at Jolla.

HP Launches Envy X2, Surface Pro like Design

HP has launched the Envy X2 which looks like the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The Envy X2 is available in two screen sizes - 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch. The laptop comes with a detachable wireless keyboard. The 15.6-inch (HP Envy x2 15t) is priced at $749.99 (approximately Rs. 45,000) and 13.3-inch (HP Envy x2 13t) is priced at $799.99 (approximately Rs. 48,000).

Both the variant features the same - Intel Core M-5Y10 or 5Y70 processors, 4 or 8 GB RAM options and Intel HD graphics. The 13.3-inch model comes with a 128GB SSD and 15.6-inch comes with a 500GB hybrid drive with 16GB of flash storage. Both the variants features a WLED-backlit IPS touchscreen display and a detachable Wireless Bluetooth backlit keyboard.

Nokia today launched a new Android tablet and called it Nokia N1. It comes with a 7.9-inch screen and 64-bit 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Z3580 CPU. Apple releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, Bug fixes & WiFi improvements

Apple has released OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 with bug fixes and performance improvements for Macs running the latest version of the desktop operating system, along with iOS 8.1.1 for iPhone and iPad users. OS X 10.10.1 also includes improvements for Microsoft Exchange users and fixes for Mail. The update can be installed by going to the Updates tab of the Mac App Store.

"You can also download the manual update installer. This is a useful option when you need to update multiple computers, but only want to download the update once. Standalone installers are available from Apple Support Downloads".

How to Disable Whatsapp Blue Ticks

WhatsApp recently introduced a new feature to let users know that their messages have been read. The app showed a single grey tick and a double grey ticks previously, after the update the double grey ticks turned blue when the user read the message. Now the mobile messaging service is letting users of its Android app disable the feature with the rollout of WhatsApp version 2.11.444. This feature is once more, accessible for Android users. The new 2.11.444 WhatsApp version is available for download on their official website.

1. The smartphone should be running on Android 2.1 or a newer version.
2. Go to Settings > Security > Check Unknown sources
3. Go to the WhatsApp website and download the APK.
4. After downloading, install the app to your phone.
5. Open WhatsApp and go to Whatsapp Settings.
6. Go to Account > Privacy
7. You have the option, Read Receipts. Uncheck the read receipt option to disable blue ticks in your messages.

Asus has launched a new variant of its popular Zenfone 5 smartphone. Dubbed as Asus Zenfone 5 Lite, in Philippines with the price tag of Php 5,595 (which is around  Rs. 7,600 INR). The phone will be available for purchase in Philippines from next week.

Xiaomi Might Launch 4G Support mobile with 1GB of RAM, HD Display, at Rs. 4,000

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is working on a smartphone at Rs. 4,000 with 4G LTE capability. According to reports from Gizchina,this smartphone will cost around 399 yuan,where it costs around Rs.4000 in India.

The smartphone might feature a 720p display and 1GB of RAM. Reports say, Xiaomi has reportedly invested in a company called Leadcore, which will make the chipset for the new smartphone. The rumoured LC180 chipset, which is apparently built on a 28nm fabrication processor, uses 2GHz Cortex-A7 cores along with the Mali T628 GPU. A leaked specification sheet suggested that the SoC can support 2k LCD displays and record upto 720p videos at 120fps and 1080p videos at 60fps. It also has 4G LTE support.

Xiaomi entered the Indian market couple of months back with Xiaomi Mi3 and RedMi 1S. Now the Chinese company is now set to launch the Redmi Note in India within the next couple of months, which will become the cheapest smartphone in India powered by an octa-core processor.

Gionee has unveiled two new 4G LTE smartphones in the Indian market, Gionee launches CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L. Gionee also unveiled Gionee Pioneer P4S and Gionee Pioneer P6 smartphones, but hasn't detailed full specifications or pricing.
